Jakub Hrůša has been invited to make his debut with the Vienna Philharmonic in four concerts beginning November 29th, replacing Mariss Jansons. Hrůša will lead the orchestra in a programme which opens with Dvořák’s Carnival Overture, continues with Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 – featuring Denis Matsuev as soloist – and concludes with Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra.

The current season will also see Hrůša make return visits to the Berlin Philharmonic, The Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, in addition to his commitments as Music Director of the Bamberg Symphony, Principal Guest Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic, and Principal Guest Conductor of the Philharmonia Orchestra.
